Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are you for real?
In a nutshell, yes. Unlike some a few notorious satire sites, we’re the real deal. Keep reading or check out our Beliefs.
Common Christian Objections
Q: Should Christians be playing these games?
A legitimate question to be asking. This is the type of question a Christian should be asking when trying to live a life of holiness.
For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. – 1 Thessalonians 4:7 ESV
The answer is: it depends. As Christians we should be mindful of the media was consume and the activities we participate in. If playing games like World of Warcraft causes you to stumble, you should not play World of Warcraft. Whether that stumbling draws you to practices witchcraft or neglect your responsibilities to your family and church, if it takes over your life you should not play.
On the other hand, for those who aren’t tempted, the fellowship of believers and the cathartic experience of playing helps refresh and renew their minds so they are more effective. See Romans 14, 1 Corinthians 10.

29 I do not mean your conscience, but his. For why should my liberty be determined by someone else’s conscience? 30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of that for which I give thanks? 31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.32 Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved. – 1 Corinthians 10:29-33 ESV
Q: Should Christians really be killing?
The Bible does forbid the innocent shedding of blood — murder.
You shall not murder. – Exodus 20:13 ESV
And
Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image. – Genesis 9:6 ESV
However, more often than not, this question isn’t being asked about killing, it’s being asked about playing a video game.
“Well then, should a Christian pretend to be killing?”
That’s a fair point. As with the previous statement, if you feel convicted about playing games where simulated violence is involved then we urge you not to play them. For you to violate your conscience would be a sin for you.
We believe there is a limit the freedom we have in Christ grants us. We recognize there are video games which are so violent, so vile, so wicked that any Christian who plays them needs to repent. However, the animated violence in World of Warcraft leaves us with a clear conscience.

Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. – Romans 14:4 ESV
Q: Do you allow Warlocks/Death Knights/Demon Hunters into the guild?
Yes. Please see our previous answers. It’s a video game and the “dark magic” isn’t real. As we’ll point out below, if we were to take an plenary (absolute) view of the game in relation to the Bible, none of the characters would be okay for the Christian to play.
Q: But aren’t their classes that are holy? Why play these dark ones?
No. None of them are. The “Light” in World of Warcraft isn’t even remotely similar to the Yahweh, and even if it was similar it wouldn’t be exactly. Anything short of God is not God. Anything less than the God of the Bible is a cheap imitation or imposter. “The Light” is for all intents and purposes evil — from a plenary point of view.
Every class in World of Warcraft uses some form of magical abilities. Even the warrior for all of its focus on “physical damage” uses skills and spells which are nothing short of miraculous. Absolutely speaking, even the warrior is engaging in the dark arts in affront to the God of the Bible.
But, as we’ve already pointed out, this is a Video Game. This isn’t real. It’s fiction. None of us are (hopefully) going outside and trying to thunderclap squirrels or cast fireballs at passing vehicles.
Taking this approach, things like Lord of the Rings (written by a Christian) and Chronicles of Narnia (written by a Christian) as well as most of our beloved superheroes are all exercising power outside of the natural realm and clearly not from God. It’s important to be vigilant, but if we cry foul at every single thing we can in some way perceive to be evil, we are detracting from the very real evil in the world.

Faith Related Questions
Q: Do I have to be a Christian to join?
Yes. All applicants must have made a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ and the repentance of their sins. They must acknowledge Jesus Christ as the third person of the Triune God, who is one being, eternally God, not-created.
Q: I’m a Mormon or Jehovah’s Witness and identify as a Christian, can I join?
No. Both Latter Day Saints and Jehovah’s Witnesses reject key and fundamental aspects of God which make him God. As such, we reject the notion either are Christian. Mormons believe God is one among many gods and that we too can become like God. This is in direct contradiction to God’s Word.
10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. 11 I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior. – Isaiah 43:10-11 ESV (emphasis added)
And Jehovah’s Witness rejects Jesus Christ as being fully God but rather a god, an exalted being, yet still created, rather than God the Creator as Scripture so clearly reveals.
Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” – John 20:28 ESV
We certainly love you and desire you come to the true knowledge of God that can save you from your sins. But our guild is for the discipleship of and ministering to Christians.
